The Second Coming It never occurred to me that what I had always thought of as “God” wasn’t the “God” that everyone reads about in the bible. He has always been portrayed as the son of Christ. All Christian peoples have read their version of the story in their bible. That’s why when the incident happened it blew away the whole myth, people everywhere were in a state of shock, suicides were rampant and pastors of all faiths were being murdered. Chaos rained worldwide. I was at home when the first newscast came on and sat there thinking it had to be a hoax! Surely this is a journalistic trick of some kind to get ratings. The media only tell you what they want you to hear and then it is a half truth at best. I only watch the news as a sideline because of that. Years ago I figured out that the news they broadcast is only the BAD news, not the everyday stuff that the average person does. Hey when you think about it, the average person does some pretty nice stuff most of the time, nothing off the wall or exceptional. And sensationalism does sell doesn’t it? Who wants to hear about Mr. Goody Two Shoes when you can read about the guy who killed the doorman and cut him up, stored him in the freezer and ate him over the winter. That’s the kind of stuff todays news is made of! The gorier the better! Shockem right outta their seats! That’s why I thought this whole thing was either a hoax or somebody got the whole thing wrong and man when the truth came out the newscaster would be fired for going on the air with a false story before checking it out. Hey it’s happened in the past. I remember when Dan Rather came on the air and reported something before he had checked it for accuracy and he almost lost his job! When my sister Lydie and I were kids, we were made to go to Sunday School like most kids from the Baby Boomer generation. I sat there, even as a kid thinking that these “stories” they read to us couldn’t be real. Noah’s ark? No way could you fit 2 of every animal in the world on the ship to begin with let alone float around for 40 days and 40 nights without all those beasts going wild and killing each other and all the people onboard. And how about parting the Red Sea? Come on! Do you really think a person could do something like that? I couldn’t swallow it even as a 10 year old so I just can’t understand how a rational adult could. If you logically look at it from all angles you would have to realize it just can’t happen. People down through the ages have blindly followed others because they wanted to fit in or didn’t want to be talked about because they didn’t “believe”. I never talked much about it because I didn’t think anyone would want to hear that I didn’t “believe”. As a child I honestly thought long and hard about the stories I heard but just could not accept them as truth. I vividly remember an incident on an Easter Sunday when we were kids. Everyone was dressed to the nines, as Easter is noted for, nothing but an annual fashion show. Lydie and I were sitting in church all decked out in our Easter finery. The pastor was giving the yearly risen from the tomb sermon and my stomach was churning! I don’t know if it was something I ate or whether I had a touch of the latest bug going around, but the next thing I knew I was upchucking all over the back of the lady in the pew in front of us! She had a fur stole and the whole nine yards. My sister and I were mortified! She didn’t even know what had happened and we got up as quick as we could and were going out the door before anyone was the wiser. That in itself left a scar on my church going days as a youngster. I know our parents tried to do the right thing, like all parents do. Get your kids off to a good start with the Christening, Sunday School and eventually church when you are old enough to listen to the long winded sermons they pitch every week. My great aunt was a real Christian. She was an old maid and Sunday was her day out for socializing. We usually had the church supper and of course the bingo games. Ah the bingo games! Back then kids could play, legally I mean. I had about 10 cards to watch and they had the real little chips back then to cover the numbers with. Nowadays you get markers. What fun is that! You don’t get the chance to cover the cards like in the old days. For a kid I did pretty good if I say so myself. In fact, I was really good at a lot of games when I was a kid. She had a couple she knew from church that she played cards with once a week. A real crotchety old fart and his wife. Man this guy was out for blood when he played. None of this social once a week get together shit for him! It was usually Rummy we played at their house. I had all I could do to hold the hand full of cards they dealt, but my aunt taught me everything she knew about the game and then some. Needless to say I would almost always win. Man did that guy go nuts. “What the hell you doin Dora bringin’ that kid over here every week.” She’s too young to be playin these games.” It really irked him that he could be beaten by a 10 year old at a game he took as seriously as he did. I never smiled or laughed but inside I was 10 feet tall! I was good at games if nothing else at that young age. Another lady friend of hers from her church was a big canasta fan. You remember that game don’t you? A real fist full of cards for that one. In fact I had this round contraption you bought that would hold cards for you. With my 10 year old hands it was a “pardon the pun” “Godsend” for me! Well I guess you know the rest already. Yup! I beat her at that game too. My old maid aunt didn’t have a very exciting life but she damned sure knew how to play cards and was my mentor on that score! Poor old Evelyn! Another of the many old maids from the church. Jeez she hated me! Actually, thinking back church was then and probably still is today, a meeting place for the neglected and social misfits that have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Just come regularly once a week and give generously and we’ll listen to your unimportant bullshit. I had a part time job in my early years as a secretary to an Episcopalian priest. What a setup that was! He had previously been a catholic priest, met and fell in love with a nun. Well you know that they could never live in sin! So you got it! They left that religion, became Episcopalians and married. Now they had a setup at their home for all the good and faithful of that particular religion. Retreats. For the stressed, the sick, the lost souls and a small fee of course, come to our retreat. You will be given wine, fruit, cheese and the pitch. You will come away feeling totally renewed and they will come away a little wealthier! Just mention you need something as a minister or priest, and presto! One of your good little church goers appears with whatever you need and gives it to you. GIVES IT TO YOU! Hey, the average person works long and hard for everything they have and ever will have except these guys. They know the trick. Let them think they are “buying their way into heaven” and oh, doesn’t it make them feel so good to have given something to the pastor or the church. I watched this go on for maybe 3 or 4 months and just couldn’t stomach the way they operated. I had to get out of that atmosphere, it was to me morally wrong to use people in the way they were. I do not consider myself religious in any sense of the term but to see the way these “religious” people used these poor souls was to me total hypocrisy. As a youngster I had quite an appetite for reading. My dad was an avid reader and I think Lydie and I came by it naturally. She and I spent a lot of time with our noses in books. At a very early age and quite naturally I suppose I became fascinated with horror movies, science fiction and of course ufo’s. I was after all born in the generation of Project Blue Book. I couldn’t get enough. By the time I reached my early 20’s I had devoured everything I could read about Edgar Cayce, Atlantis, Nostradamis, you name it. I had tried numerous times to read the bible. Honestly! I really tried. It is written so that you can’t read it! I know, I know, they have spent countless hours transcribing it in many different languages but it is still just that. THEIR interpretation of the story. And that’s where the real information comes out but no one hears it. Interpretation. Not truth, an embellished story that over hundreds of years and countless word of mouth hand me downs has been so distorted that no one will ever really figure it out. I know the section where it says “And when the truth be known ye will stone your preachers” had always mystified me as to what they meant. Now I can see what it meant. Lies, half truths, at best guesses. And for centuries, this has gone on. When I think of how many millions of people have been killed over the many centuries in the name of religion, it astounds me! What kind of religious people are these? You believe the same as we do or you are dead? Now there is a real concept on religion isn’t it? Mine is the best, mine is the only one. Believe it or die, and damn did they die, by the thousands at a time! Does anyone in their right mind really think this is the way a god would want it to work? Could a real god, a caring god let the things happen to children that happen? I think not. This has been going on for centuries in all countries of the world. There is no way an “all forgiving god”, a “merciless god” could go on watching this and not step in and say hey! Enough of this. This was not meant to be this way. No, nothing like that is happening is it? And it won’t either. Daddy passed away in 1994. He was a good dad, a fair dad, a loving dad. He didn’t believe in god either. I didn’t know this until we were both older. He never really talked to any of us much. He was also a quiet, withdrawn man. I always thought he looked a lot like Frank Sinatra. Other ways I looked at him he reminded me of Roy Rogers. But I never really questioned his religious beliefs. Looking back I can’t actually say when the conversation happened but we got into it somehow when I was in my early 20’s I’d say. He was a good man. Fair in raising us two girls. We would have had twin brothers but mom lost them due to a tubal pregnancy. They were at the drive in and she got this horrible pain. Dad rushed her to the hospital and they found that the twins were growing inside her in the wrong place and it ruptured. She couldn’t have any more children after that surgery and I guess it was for the best. Dad was a mailman back in those days and lord knows they didn’t make much money. Anyway, getting back to our conversation, it just came about so naturally and quickly it took me by surprise. He just casually said it. That he really didn’t believe in god. Couldn’t swallow the whole story. I was taken aback because here he and mom had pushed us as kids to go to Sunday school and church and now he’s telling me he didn’t believe it either! Needless to say I really didn’t have much of a reply to the statement so we just kinda dropped it there. I will tell you one thing I do remember vividly. He had an unusually aggressive form of leukemia. We didn’t know he even had it until he had the stroke. It was on the Memorial Day holiday weekend. My daughter and I went to Disney World for the weekend. I was a single mom at the time and we spent a lot of time together, she and I. Mom didn’t even call us to let me know that dad had been admitted to the hospital. I found a note at home when we got back saying she was in the hospital with him in his room. Exactly one month to the day he died from the leukemia and I remember walking into the extended care facility, because once they know in the hospital you aren’t going to make it or they can’t milk any more money out of a patient, they put you into one of “those” places to die. I could hear him when I came through the doors and will never forget it. He was moaning in agony “oh my god” over and over. They told us they were giving him morphine shots every hour but the hemorrhages were everywhere. I don’t know how he could stand it, it was killing me to see it killing him. I had to go into the bathroom in his room and was trying to cry as quietly as I could. He looked so small laying in that bed, the man that I had always looked up to and loved so dearly. I told mom they had to do something, he couldn’t go on like this and she sat with him and told him she would be alright, she had me to take care of her and if he wanted to go it was ok, she understood. We stopped on the way home to eat lunch and by the time we got home they had called. He was gone. Unfortunately, my daughter was home alone at the time and she was the one they told. She was in real distress when we came through the door. She had nightmares and to this day she won’t admit it but I think it still bothers her. He always loved her and he was the only grandpa she ever had. But getting back to hearing him crying out to god after telling me he didn’t believe there was a god bothered me. No, god didn’t help him through his suffering and pain and he won’t through anyone else’s either. You have to take it by yourself in this life. Whatever pain, suffering humiliation or else comes your way, it’s just you. No god, no Christ, no son of god. No one but you. What really pisses me off is our government. For that matter all major governments must have known. They would have to have been in cahoots with each other to keep the lid on all this time. For “our own good” was the reason. What a joke! For their own reasons is more like it! I knew somewhere down deep inside that it was all a lie. All the years I read all the stories, from all around the world. Now how could the whole world be lying! Too many respectable people had encounters or whatever you want to call them to have no truth to any of it. And yet the government still tries to make you out like you are an idiot or seeing things. What an arrogant government to do this to us! And now that the cat is out of the bag I hope they get just what they deserve! I almost have to laugh at the way it actually happened. It reminded me for the world of the Day The Earth Stood Still, one of my all time favorite classic ufo movies. I can’t tell you how many times over the years I have watched that corny old thing but it has something about it that keeps you coming back. And talk about the right casting for the part of the alien, they could not have picked any better actor to portray him if they tried. He had the right look and that cool accent that sounded “otherworldly”. His whole demeanor was “alien” and he was very believable in the part. It’s been almost a year since they made their announcement and so much has changed and is still changing. For me it had to happen. I felt in my bones for a long time that something wasn’t right, things didn’t work right and something or someone was going to put them right. Jeez, you just had to pick up any newspaper and read the horror that was happening anywhere! It had to stop someway! I can’t believe that it took them as long as it did to step in and stop it all. In the vast majority of our day to day living it is still good, still normal and like always. But there isn’t any more fear of going anywhere or being mugged anymore. You don’t have that look over your shoulder fear like before they came. And actually their announcement cleaned out the world if you get my meaning. All the nut cases and religious freaks took themselves out. They just couldn’t handle the fact that their whole life had been spent worshiping someone or something that didn’t even exist! Some of them made splashier exits than others but over a very short time span millions of people around the globe did everyone of us a favor by getting rid of themselves. I know, I know, it sounds so cruel and mean to say something like that but damn it’s true! Some of them were absolutely pathetic the way they trudged off to their church and some were a real pain talking about it all the time. Hey I don’t care who goes to what church but leave me out of it ok? Believe whatever you must to get through your life but leave my life alone. It’s fine. It’s ok and I like it just the way it is. I have no problem accepting the fact that the bible was all a bedtime story based on actual events that happened back then. Over the years all stories get twisted around and made to suit whoever is telling them at the time. Everyone has their own interpretation on things and I think my reading up on all the stuff when I was younger just prepared me for the inevitable. I think looking back my family must have thought I was a nutcase because of my belief in the ufo stories. I’m positive that my dad did and I’m pretty sure even Lydie did. I would try and talk to them about it and get their input or feelings but it never got very far before they would change the subject on me and I would get the message. I just couldn’t help trying to talk to people about it, I felt that strongly that I was right about it all. One very funny incident on a Saturday morning years ago makes me laugh right now thinking about it again. I’m sure I’m not the only one who sleeps in on the weekends and was laying there half asleep when I realized I was hearing something really weird. I can’t describe the noise but as sort of a whooshing sound and it would start and stop and start and stop. I sat up in my bed listening and wondering what in the hell I was hearing. I knew I had never heard anything like it before and by the time I got my robe on and into the living room everyone else was there too. We just looked at one another like what the hell? Our house at that time was one of the first on our street. Across the street were all empty lots with just low grass and weeds on them. Anyway, we were all looking out the window trying to figure out what we were hearing and all of a sudden down comes a hot air balloon right across the street from our house. That weird noise was the gas as they were trying to land the thing in one piece. It was a beautiful multicolored balloon and we all just started laughing our asses off! I got some great pictures of the whole thing and that was the end of my “ufo” encounter for that weekend! Another incident in that same house was another story though. Our whole family was in bed and it was sometime in the wee hours of the morning and I was awakened by a brilliant white light from outside. I had window shades on both my windows, the room darkening kind, but it was so bright it lit up my whole bedroom. Once I sat up and really got my bearings I realized just how bright it was and that there was not one sound outside. Not a dog barking, which we hear all night or anything else. No chirping crickets, nothing. I was all of a sudden nervous as hell and didn’t know why. I felt really edgy for no reason at all. I sat up on my knees and looked out my window over the head of my bed. No matter which way I looked it was brighter than daylight but a totally different type of light. So light in fact I think if you looked at where it was coming from you would more than likely go blind from it. There was absolutely no noise of any kind. There was no way to tell if the light was from something moving or not as it was a constant light and coming from every direction I looked but yet from no real direction to speak of. I had never seen anything like it before or since. The feeling I got looking out there was very strange. I went out to the living room and lit a cigarette and by then my mother was out there too. It had awakened her also. We were talking about it and I had such an urge to go outside and see if I could tell what is was and where it was coming from but fear kept me from going out. I can’t explain it but I just knew I shouldn’t go out there! I can’t remember exactly how long the light lasted but it was at least 5 minutes or more. Just like that it was regular night sky again. We just looked at each other and said that no matter what we had just experienced no one was going to believe us. The next few days I listened to the news and read the paper and absolutely nothing was mentioned about the experience at all. To this day I have no idea what it was but I do have some idea that it was no light that was manmade. Looking back over the years of my uneventful life I see that I really have never had any experience like the ones I’ve read about. And actually, do I wish I had? After reading about so many people being abducted and examined against their will, then the physical ailments from it all and the mental trauma, no I don’t think so! Just the thought of being held against my will and forced to do something scares the living shit out of me! I had to have quite a bit of dental work done at one time and have never liked needles so the dentist suggested I go under laughing gas. Well I thought I would be totally asleep for the whole ordeal and when I got to his office he let me sit down in “the CHAIR” as I call it. I liken it to the electric chair itself as I am not a happy camper at the dentist! As soon as I was settled into the chair he proceeds to STRAP MY WRISTS and immediately my heart rate goes haywire! “Why are you doing this” I practically yelled at him! He never gave me a satisfactory answer but then just put the mask over my mouth and nose and tells me while I am gasping the awful smelling shit that it is necessary because I am NOT going to sleep, only sooooooo relaxed I won’t care what he does! Won’t care? Won’t care? This guy doesn’t even know half of how scared I am of the dentist! Well I must have scared him more than he scared me! When he saw how I was reacting he took the mask off my face and as I was gulping the fresh air trying to get my senses back says “he doesn’t think it would be a good idea to use the gas on me“. What a revelation that must have been for him!!!! Personally I think he was worried I was going to have a heart attack right there in his chair and he didn’t want to have to deal with that! “So now what” ? I asked after I finally had my heart back where it belonged. “If you can tolerate the shots, I think it would be best to use a local anesthetic for the work we will be doing.” As much as I hate needles and I mean I REALLY HATE NEEDLES, it sounded great to me! Yeah, bring ‘em on, stick me all you want but man DON’T strap me in that chair again! So no, after that terrifying experience I know I would not be able to stand the exams given by extraterrestrials that I read about. What an awful helpless feeling to have to endure. The worst part is you KNOW what is going on! Why don’t they put you under so you don’t have to see it and hear it and worst of all Feel IT! All I can say is, they must really be an uncaring bunch of creatures! We must be experiments to them and like a bunch of bugs under a microscope type thing. Geez what an experience that would be! If hate could kill them I’m sure they would have been murdered by whoever they held against their will because I think besides the sheer fear factor, the only other emotion that I would have emitting from me would be pure hate! The more news I read and tv reports I hear, I am convinced that the human race needs some shaping up. As much as I hate to say it, because I am after all, part of this truly revolting thing called “human” we need to be put in our place. Rick, a friend of mine, works as a supervisor in a county prison in the next county from home. He has only been there a short time and I can’t believe some of the stories he has told me! Unless you know someone who has dealings with these “animals” you can’t imagine what kind of “creatures” are all around you every day, everywhere you go. Your neighbors are in all probability the worst “monsters” you could ever imagine. The only difference is that they haven’t gotten caught yet at whatever sick thing turns them on! The majority of them are either in for murder, robbery or child molestation. Some as young as under 12 years of age. Can you imagine your son or daughter being molested by someone let alone at that tender age? One of them actually killed his own son while “getting off”! It was an accident he said, hung him with a rope around his neck and I guess he had such a “good one” he didn’t realize how hard he yanked his sons neck! And get this! On the 10th anniversary of his incarceration, he cornered some poor bastard in the prison and almost killed him the same way! Some celebration huh? Yes, I am more than ready for our “new life” now that it is all out in the open and believe it will actually be a much better place now that “we” are not in charge anymore. It has been painfully obvious that “we” cannot handle the job of running our own planet and before we kill it and everything on it they stepped in to guide us down the right path. Amen and “thank the et’s”!
