Paladin's Beginning Brian Ashburn
In the days of old in a place, few have imagined the valiant knight Paladin began to climb down the old iron later into the king’s St. Olms under works canals located beneath the biggest city of all of Morrowind. He did not know what to expect down in the water canals besides the usual rats and ever so persistent thieves that hid inside the tainted waters. Even with these things in mind, he had a strange feeling that something or some one remained hidden within these old waterways.
Paladin spotted some diseased rats and made quick work of them with his awesome sword. Strangely enough, the rats screamed constantly, even after they were dead. As odd as this was Paladin continued to progress across the small walkways exploring every corner for what lay hidden inside. Then he discovered a door to the Ibinishima’s Shrine.
Now our timeless hero Paladin had been to many shrines, but had never heard of any by this name. Curious as to which Daedra God it belonged to he felt the need to investigate. Slowly opening the door to peak inside he discovered that it was the shrine to the prince himself. It was the shrine of the Prince of Madness.
Just as Paladin entered the shrine the Prince appeared to him and demanded him to go to the far corners of Morrowind in search of a hermit as mad as himself. Once this hermit is found Paladin is to take the magic fork from him and kill the great Mother Bull Netch with it. All the while the Prince went on halfway laughing and babbling about the quest. Despite how odd it sounded Paladin decided to take this new quest before.
The prince cackled with enjoyment, as he loved it when mortals were mad enough to accept such quests. Even so once the quest is finished the price promised Paladin he would reward him upon his completion of the quest.
Therefore, off Paladin went as he journeyed to the far corners for years in search of a crazy hermit that had the magic fork. Finally, the crazy hermit was found alone on a small island. This island was certainly the furthers from the mainland Paladin had ever seen.
Inside the hermit babbled on about some nonsense about pleasing the Prince of Madness by running around in small circles in his hut. Paladin merely walked in and took the fork that glowed on the table. All the while the mad hermit continued screaming and running around.
Once outside the hut the Mother Bull Netch appeared to Paladin. Knowing what to do, and waiting for what seemed forever to find it he went on to fight it.
Paladin spent countless hours fighting the huge flying beast. Finally, the damned creature died and the prince appeared. He laughed exclaiming how great of a show it was watching the fight that took days before its end. Then the prince dropped a spear and vanished.
Paladin looked around puzzled by the young Daedra prince’s actions only to laugh at himself and all the time he spent wasted just to get a dumb spear.
