Good Advice
David B Doc Byron

Good advice.
People rarely take it.
Sad thing about it is, they should.
I'm dying from liver cancer; and I'll bet my bottom dollar
that alot of the people reading this won't take
this to heart at all.
I'm not saying I've lost faith in the human race:
it's just that I've seen too many situations
where folks just damn well refuse to take good
advice.

I've been a drinker, a drug addict, {which I
still am due to constant pain }, a fighter, {I
used to kick ass with the best of them: I hit a guy
one time in a bar fight, and his nose was broken,
he'd lost four teeth, his jaw was broken, and one
of his eyes was popping out of it's socket.
I was not one to be messed with.

That's stupid shit though; why hurt people
just because your life is fucked up?
Don't ask me why, because I can't even tell you.
I know this, though; I wish I hadn't hurt the
folks I've hurt. Hell: I wish I hadn't hurt myself.
But sometimes, unfortunately, as the old saying
goes, it happens. Folks fuck up, they pay the
price, and that's it.
As a another old saying goes: ''You play, you
pay.''
I paid then, and I'm paying now.

I wake up everyday wishing I could have
become a author on the top ten best seller's
list; but because of my fucked up life, it didn't
happen. When I get up in the morning, here is my
normal {or considering how you look at it,
ABNORMAL routine}, I get up in pain, pop some pills,
{ I pop about FIFTY pills a day now}then I try to
take a shit, which is almost impossible, because
most of the time I'm constipated, because of the
medication.
When I finally get to shit, when isn't very
often, it feels like liquid fire flying out of my
ass. Hell, sometimes I even bleed.
When I take a piss, it's ORANGE in color, a
nasty mixture of blood and urine and what-the-fuck-ever
and I get so tired of it anymore I could fucking puke.
Which actually, sometimes, I do.

I don't sleep alot; and when I do, I have bad dreams.
Well, actually, nightmares.
I dream of the times Iv'e been shot, stabbed,
beaten up, stiched up, sewed up, put back together
like fucking Frankenstein, then woke back up to
do it all over again.
What's really sad is, I'm actually still a decent
looking man; I'm six feet tall, 165 pounds, dark
hair streaked with a little gray, a gray-streaked
goatee, and great big, bright blue eyes.
Sad part about it is, I used to weigh in at 200
pounds, my normal weight.
I wonder if you folks out there would do me a favor;
Give me an e-mail to let me know if you liked my work,
it would make me feel better. I'm not asking for
sympathy, just company.
The reason I called this installment ''Good Advice,''
is to let you folks out there know what kind of
fucking nightmares you can can go through if you
fuck with alcohol and or drugs. It can and or will
fuck up your whole career. JUST DON'T DO IT.

Comprende?

Anyhow, anybody who'd like to correspond with

"Damn! Excuse my French but that was writing well! No not well...inspiring. I was hooked on each word you wrote. Maybe because humans like messed up stories...I don't know. Hell, I knew it wasn't going to end well before I even read it. I like the suggest...the good advice us commenting on each other's works. This web page should be our baby...each of us bouncing ideas off one another...talking and sharing with one another...heck, we are writers in the sould regardless if we are published or not. Doc, I feel for you, man, but I can't begin to understand the plight you're in. I'm a minister and I'm going to pray for you. Sing me up, bro, I'm be a cat willing to interact with you! Hang in there because in the final analysis....all of us die." -- e. rocco caldwell.
"I'd like to think your "story" was just that... a story. I'd hope it isn't true. If it is, I'm so sorry for what you're going through. You've written so many scary, creepy stories, I can't believe someone wouldn't like to publish them in a book of short stories. What's your prognosis, if you don't mind my asking??? God Bless." -- Jenn H..
