Pain Is Just A Cloud
Ramona L Rigby

I'm lost in a cloud,
so far and wide,
with nothing to shroud,
nothing to hide,
It leaves like the ocean tide,
so remember now,
pain is just a cloud

Could you see my pain,
that develops like a storm,
like a sad refrain,
that repeats ever-more,

It is that cloud that leads the storm,
that sad refrain that's eternally ever-more,
so see my tears that flood the earth,
that create the sea-side turf,

Yet you laugh and cheer at the pain,
my sad,
sad,
refrain that is forever on repeat,
and it never skips it's beat,

That refrain that tears my soul,
and makes you seem so very cold,
remember this forevermore,
someday the refrain will swollow you whole,

Pains like the clouds in the sky,
a mere storm that passes by,
the refrain in our heads,
the rain that makes the oceans wet,
so see me out,
pain is cruel.
