Mad Weather Sarah Lipton Sidibeh
Spring, summer, autumn and winter,
Seem to have disappeared,
The flies arrive in February,
And it seems so weird;
Animals have woken from hibernation,
Birds twitter in the trees,
Bees buzz from flower to flower,
This is so strange to me
As it's happening in the winter!
The temperature soars to 68 degrees,
The sun dazzles in the sky,
I have to wear my summer clothes...
But in December? I don't know why;
January is like June,
June is like January,
There is snow in July,
And sunshine in February;
There is no longer fog in November
But bright sunny days,
There is never snow for Christmas,
Oh I wish I was far away;
In 1987 the wind came in October
Rather than March,
A lack of rain in winter
Has left the land parched;
I'll have to go to a country,
Where the seasons have remained,
Where there's snow in winter and sunshine in summer,
As I really don't like change!
