DESCRIPTION
This poem is about my relatives who were not very happy to see me wrestle. I hope someday they read this and realise what they have done was wrong. [138 words]
ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
Hi im Sam Cors and im 14, im also the only girl wrestler in my home town of Ohio. Some of my poems are about my friend who was taken away and killed, others are about my family trying to except who i am. I hope my poems reach out and tell you to follow your dreams...and to not let one single person change who you wanna be. [January 2013]
Hard Sam M Cors
I see the way they look at me
An alien from mars
I try to see it their way
But im not the granddaughter they wanted me to be
I smile and i say i love you
They slowly mumble it back
Cant they see i miss them?
They surely must miss the girl i once was too
They see me in my uniform
And look away in shame
For their granddaughter they say
Is nothing that is worth the fame
As i fall to the mat in pain
They look down only for their own gain
They see my head lift to the sky
Im sure it makes them want to cry
As the ref takes my hand
They walk away
Not wanting to know me
Disincluding me from the family band
I keep my head held high
And i look up to the sky
As i see them asking to themselves
Why did they make my little granddaughter die?
