I am a happily married mother of two beautiful intelligent children who is focusing on writing lyrical poetry to compose a book that inspires readers to overcome any circumstance in their life. I have a criminal justice education and 9 years experience in the field. I am a voluntary life coach to youth and addicts with mental illness and am currently pursuing that degree to become a professional in the field.

The Dripping Water
Diana Angela Chang
One might ask
How can she have so much love?
Yet be so distant?
Vulnerable and alone
Mishaps and accident prone
All experiences have clearly shown
How much the rage has grown
Intelligent and bright
With an emitting light
Like a moth to a flame
Spirits heard the cries and came
Everything worked for gone in an instant
Memories not so distant
Because of a black out
That the anger brought about
Sitting here so broken
So many words unspoken
So the thoughts keep racing
Three mirrors from one I am facing
I have disconnected myself
This time we are going to need help
I am her protector
I’ve been for many years
The girl inside sheds too many tears
Sitting in a tub or shower just idled in fear
I had to step in
Couldn’t let the darkness win
Her life needs to begin
But I’ve become physically weak
Evil entities hang on every word I speak
Trying every portal
To the half of me that’s mortal
Controlling emotion, that which we lack
Is how they deploy their attack
Notice our eyes change from blue to gray?
Look into them, what do they say?
Will she even let you look into them that way?
Avoidance has been a major delay
So it is time to awaken
The girl forsaken
So I can depart
Allowing her to restart
Chorus:
Time hasn’t mended her broken heart
But you can if you know your part
Go to the realm off the chart
She is lost in time
Dripping water is all that comes to mind
Find the water source
Don’t let the third change the course
Be the knight with armor
Be the first man that doesn’t want to harm her
At fifty percent it’s easy to lose control
But even two broken halves make a whole
So find the sleeping half of our soul
Make it your intentional goal
Remembering that fire purifies
In its flames, shall end her cries
And unveil this disguise
Breaking all unhealthy ties
Do it now for time flies
Burn it all down to the ground
Too late now the house is no longer around
Was it the hotel shower?
The night she lost all self-power
And was formed through disassociation
Taken on a whole new personification
But a number three dark entity
Is full force after me
Needing you to set her free
But keep eyes on her broken fifty
She tends to runaway
Tell her you want her to stay
Only a good spouse and a father figure
Can help her reconfigure
Her perspective of family and love
With all the help from divination above
Seek and find the dripping water
And an undone daughter
The girl forsaken
The girl overtaken
The girl who needs to awaken
And come out of disassociation
Drip… drip… drip… is her location
