Dear Moon-A-Lisa !
Dr Surya Kumar Daimari

You must have risen from the abyss of darkness,
Just now!
Your stains of black dirt on your face
Tell it with all frankness.
Yet, you are serene, you are beautiful,
You are Aphrodite, you are Monalisa,
Now Moon-a-lisa !
You are a damsel fair, a bride enameled with grace,
Made for love for someone unknown,
Yet you walk down the aisle with elegant steps.

When you travel thro’ the dark clouds,
I see you play hide and seek.
When I peep thro’ the woodland,
I see you smiling,
Even when you run through the dark-black clouds,
I can still see your eyes glowing.
Sometimes, I can see you fall into the cool lake,
And yet sometimes, in a fast running brook babbling.
As if, beauty is falling down on our own farm land.
Your dazzling beam brightens the whole earth,
You make the green petals rimmed silvery,
You make the nite earth, a dreamland,
And make my heart, more silvery.
