Invitation To His Flock
Kelly McManis
I pray we all draw close in time,
Through our universal trait within,
For none who dwells among us
Is completely free from sin.
Our souls are heavy laden,
And our hearts are weather worn,
Yet peace and rest eternal
Are gifts our Lord has sworn.
"Come to me," our Savior beckons...
An invitation to His flock...
To free us from our burdens,
Always present as our Rock.
The flesh which makes us evil,
In this world of wicked ways,
Keeps no one from the Father
When faith in Christ is laid.
So draw close to Him and others,
With your faith so firm and true...
Practice love and understanding
In each and every thing you do.
