DESCRIPTION
This poem signifies the importance of the 'good' within oneself, the victory of good over evil. The poem describes that as one wanders away from the good (represented by words like dawn, angel, sunshine, melody sweet)and the humane, it takes him closer to the demon/evil(represented by words like wilderness,deep...forest,gravestone). All material things (gold) in life are a cause of greed,misery,loneliness(...dances alone) and wrong-doings.They are not the end but only means to an end. Hence you have to recognise the good within yourself, your heart, and you will be closer to home (here meaning spiritualism, peace and contentment). [98 words]

Beauty And The Beast Ananya Rohini
Walking through the wilderness
Far away from home
Deep into the forest
Far away from dawn
I come across a devil
I come across a demon
I pass the evil spirits
I pass the gravestone
The devil dances for gold
The demon dances alone
Evil spirits – they dance wild
Around the gravestone
I come across an angel
I come across a human
I pass the golden sunshine
On my way back home
The angel dances to melody sweet
The human dances too
The good and evil go side by side
As nature chose them so
Beauty lies on this earth, this paradise
Beauty lies in this heaven
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Amen, Amen
