Could a songwriter write a song if he didn't have
the words.
Would a clown be a clown if laughter wasn't heard.
Could a nurse be a nurse if they didn't really care
Would a judge be a judge if he wasn't considered fair.
Could a soldier be a soldier if they weren't prepared
to kill.
Would a doctor be a doctor if they couldn't prescribe
you pills.
Could a detective do his job if he didn't have a clue
Would a lawyer be a lawyer if they told you all they
knew.
Could a man be a man if he would beat up on his son.
Would a woman be a woman if she allowed this to be done.
Would we stop all the wars if countries had no guns.
Could we think as one people and think of our loved ones.
