Lawrence Peters
When I see her, it's always colors and scents,
jokes and laughs, of situations and heartbreak.
Two lives leading in different directions
with hers to hers
and mine to mine.
One too many hearts.
But still she leaves me so...
She always leaves me, so...
Colors and swirls,
wants and resignation
turned quiet dedication.
To colors and scents,
those jokes and laughs.
Don't have to be the only
object of her desire.
Just a passing chance to light a fire.
I laugh because she takes me higher,
when I see her.
