Awaken The Giant
Diamond King

They had been planning for weeks and weeks
they watched our every move
no one would suspect the havoc they would wreak
now it’s time to make their move

swooping down from above in the sky
Zeros coming in fast
pilots still sleeping in the barracks they lie
Zeros coming in fast

Fires raging causing everything to burn
they’ve reached the point of no return
destruction of the ships as they capsize
unsuspecting soldiers, had no idea, they didn’t
realize

Fires burning and all the men scatter
bullets blazing and the bombs drop all around
terror floods the mind as the hanger’s shatter
and now the “Arizona” goes down

You could not believe the sight or the sound
of the Harbor during the attack. The screams
and the fighting-I wish I could take it all back.
Courage and heart filled all their souls
I could feel the pain in my heart
and the tears began to flow

Today is the day that heroes are made
fighting now to finish what they start
dawn came and the attack was on; war was made
all these men are fighting with courage and heart

Heroes are made this day
the smoke and the fire
got to overcome someway
reach inside for desire
just believe-believe what you’re fighting for
don’t give up-don’t ever give up, this is war

Death is but a dream, you wake up when you die
glory is awaiting you for valor, glory you’ll find
born to be a soldier-to oppression you are defiant
you have done nothing but to Awaken a sleeping
giant

Such courage, heroes with valor
a life, a soul and so much more
unknown to all of them the fate that’s been sealed
the truth of their destinies shall be revealed
impossible to think that Heaven can be raised
from this hell
some will survive, some will not but they’ll see
the light as well

You will always be remembered
in our hearts and soul forever
your spirits will automatically rise
to heavenly skies
and in heaven you’ll be immortalized
with sad eyes
as we watch you rise
with the Angel’s to sing
you’ll be immortalized

“December 7th, 1941, a date

Which will live in infamy!”
-President Roosevelt
