Her True Side
D Donely

So hurt and lost
Consumed by fear
Pain pierces her
Like a poisoned spear

She wears a mask
Covering what's true
She smiles pretty
Not giving a clue

She's built a barrier
But her heart still aches
Lies aren't the answer
Her wall begins to break

Opening herself
To let out what's pure
Tossing the disguise
-Hiding isn't the cure

She closes her eyes
Her lip begins to quiver
The pain is unbottled
The tears come in rivers
