Nothing Left Judith Goff
Night creeps over the city, the scent of magnolias in the air
You appear before me in your guise of nonchalance
Wicked smile on your lips to betray you
Your primal scent envelopes me, breath catching in my throat
I am a captured bird, quivering, captivated by your lethal stare
At your mercy, without guile
Naked, exposed, all within me revealed to you, nothing hidden
Kept secret inside a facade you breached long ago
With charm and sensuality
In your eyes I am reflected in shades of rose and cream, flaws
Airbrushed with your perception, edges smoothed, soft-focus
All fragrant, supple perfection
The texture of your skin, beneath my questing fingers
The sensation of deep velvet made warm by the sun
Firm, molding to my will
As you hold me against your strength, your essence
Pouring around me, over me, into me, I disappear
Until … there is nothing left but you …
