Onslaught Of Love Judith Goff
I sit beside you, silent
Not a word escapes my lips
But, oh, if you could hear my heart
It would blast you like a hurricane
I wonder how it is you do not know
It must shine from me like neon
This love inside of me must glow
With the incandescence of a thousand candles
How is it the passion in my eyes
Doesn’t blind you with its brilliance
Stun you with its kinetic energy
Make you sweat and burn and blister
You must feel the heat of my stare
It must make you itch and squirm
Don’t you wonder at that prickly sensation
That happens only in my presence
But there you are, oblivious
To the want and need and desire
That bursts from me in all directions
Seeking entrance to your soul
And I must keep secreted inside
The bittersweet yearning
Of a heart that must remain hidden
Until you are open to my onslaught of love
