The Internal Storm L A Winterburn
These feelings of doubt overwhelm me with fear
My heart is pounding. The reason unclear.
A simplistic act where people they meet
But for me a war, that will end in defeat
As I fight with my self, the panic can’t win
Sweat covers my brow and pours down my skin
The music now booming as I feel so enclosed
To strangers scrutiny I feel I'm exposed
Now I’m forced to go home where I'm safe in my bed
I don’t fear loneliness it’s the anguish I dread
Does hope still exist? Who can I tell?
The future I’ll make heaven, in the past I made HELL
