The devil heard my prayer as I tried to slip away
His whispers grew bold as my soul went astray
Away from temptation, desire, attraction
Away from wickedness, immoral distraction
The devil whispers not to resist his charms
Of the incredible sensations I would feel in his arms
He whispers to me of lustful desire
And the glorious burn of my heart set afire
This devious demon will not concede
Continuing his scheme to plant his dark seed
A curse, upon me this devil has cast
My grasp on righteousness may not outlast
The demon’s relentless determined persistence
To conquer my vulnerable shields of resistance
He whispers, he calls, he continues to entice
Conjuring poetry- his ensnaring device
I grow weak and unguarded against his pursuit
Awaiting my angel, who as yet, remains mute
