Heaven Is Hell's Fire Jeffrey (George) Winter
Hell isn’t fire,
stoked by a demon.
Awaiting the sinner,
judged to be heathen.
By God seeking vengeance,
payment overdue.
For insults and smears,
rendered untrue.
The fire is love,
of a Heart so inflamed.
It cannot be doused,
all such efforts in vain.
By that which endures,
long suffering and tender.
Immune to all judgment,
pretenders can render.
To those who seek love,
uncloaked by disguise.
Is offered embrace,
warming love, gentle eyes.
But for eyes disregard it,
in pursuit of their version.
of love and of truth
remains but immersion.
In the swathe of a flame,
bearing love’s truest measure.
Neither justice or judgment,
but mercy’s high pleasure.
Radiant and divine,
for those whose hearts sought.
Revealed as judgment
by those for whom naught.
Leveled unto themselves,
and not by a God.
A fire they stoked,
with their own burning rod.

Alexander Kalimiros wrote a fascinating piece about heaven, hell and judgment and where our ideas concerning those matters come from. It goes by the name "River of Fire", is well worth the read revealing quite a bit more and is easily enough found on the web. " -- Jeff.
"Did you mean to capitalize the word "heart" in the 3rd portion? Other than that, I thought it was brilliant." -- R. Bennett Okerstrom.
"Yes, R. Bennet, Heart is capitailized to indicate God's heart...and thanks for the compliment!" -- Jeff.
"Wow, Jeff, interesting. Love burns, hell burns, God's love burns, interesting ideas. Intriguing, it's all I can say. " -- Shelley, Fullerton, California, USA.
