Night Life August Nyghts
I saw him one Saturday night
Luminescent under the black light
He sat so reserved - so refined
Sipping lovingly on his special wine
I could not fight the implicit lure
My thoughts no longer pure
Each glance I took was unmet
So crowded-No closer could I get
I left that place soon after
Thoughts heavy of this pale stranger
Rushing through my mind
Heading home to unwind
A steady click-clacking walk to my car
Sounds of laughter echoing from the bar
A swift wind brushed the hair from my shoulder
Instantaneously the air became colder
I hurriedly picked up my pace
I knew I would need my mace
I turned to see the face
That fathered this chase
There was nothing there
My subconscious cried beware
Almost to my parking spot
Cars and trucks filled every lot
Chills flooded my spine
As His eyes met Mine
I could not speak
My body went weak
My heart pounded to meet the instant demands
While I experienced his sensational hands
I saw days and nights flash before me
His teeth were my ignition key
The Blood Red Lips
I insisted to kiss
Now leave me to my new found slumber
Initially… All I wanted was his phone number.

"The last line cracked me up! Definitely a different twist on the subject- Hmmmmm... Most vampires aren't tan. It's kind of comical- if you took out some lines (the fiance and the number parts), and worked on it a bit- it could give me chills instead of giggles. Just my thoughts. ;) " -- Tessa.
"I am not changing the last line! but i considered your rant about the skin color. :) thanks for the pointers." -- August.
"No! Don't change the last line! I love it! I like the other changes, they work much better!" -- Tessa.
"The last line was great, but you should work on the flow a bit. It is rather choppy throughout. Nonetheless, welcome to the world of vampyre." -- R. Bennett Okerstrom.
