She sat alone on a barstool
Her insecurity glowing
Like neon in the dark;
Music pulsed around her
Sending ripples vibrating
Through her body
Strange eyes slid over her
Seeking entry through
The windows of her soul;
She felt him across the room
His sickness radiating
Like a wicked aura
His eyes compelled her
Promising infinite
Wanton pleasure;
He drew her to him
Across the dance floor;
Irresistible domination
His touch, electric
Sent shudders through her;
Delicious, sinful
Impossible to ignore,
She was lost in
The depths of his eyes
And in the darkness
With cruel intention
A last betrayal
Of her naivety;
He took her body
And stole her soul.
