Why Me
Mine Able

for the very first time
the day we met
i knew he holds my heart

for the rest of the day
the night we shared
i knew he sees me cry

for the time that clings
the urge to defend
i knew he'll always be mine

for the unspoken words
the pretty face that hid
i knew he regognized the scars

for the eyes of heaven
the hands of him
i knew he's punching underwater

for the wounds in deepskin
the eyes would never dry
i knew he's bleeding

for all the insanity
the love that two-layers the pain
why did he hold me in the first place

i'm the big mistake of all
tell me,why me?

"Capitals, punctuation, mixing present tense and past tense, no pattern and yet not freeform. It still needs work. You have an outline for a good poem here, polish it." -- Sylvia.
"I`d simply echo Sylvia`s comments. For now, it`s a promising early version." -- Peter Rivendell.
"Oh the memories we shared aren't they grand. " -- anonymous.
"I agree with Sylvia and Peter. This poem needs work. " -- Steven T.
