What lonely heart is assembled
In the aching hours of the drawn-out night
That burns of untold passion
Decisions and opinions made
That shape and mould our future in unkempt flame.
What empty head
That sits and stares
Forever in turmoil with its past.
A shadowy face in the raw sun
That burns in the disintegration of time.
Ash stricken
Baby white as a hand reaches for the soul
To tear out feelings that can’t be controlled.
And still the flame burns on
Tormenting contradiction of yourself.
What am I?
Who am I?
Where am I?
A bitter mind reflects
A pinprick star for every heart sunk emotion.
