The Last Tear Hanan Al Kindi
I remember the day I started to cry
And the way the first tear formed in one eye
As the distance between us grew
The tears in my eyes fell for you
Slowly crossing my pale skin
As my head started to spin
The tears reached my mouth, with a salty taste
Little did I know that all these tears were a waste
How foolish I was to believe all your lies
To waste all the tears in my eyes
And cry for a person who did not even care
The way you played with my heart wasn’t fair
Finally I’m telling you something real
Love is no longer what I feel
For I have learnt to receive, then to give
I’ve only got one life to live
My heart has changed tremendously
And so have I continuously
I’m not crying for you no more after this day
For my tears are to worthy to fritter away

"I like this one. Very realistic. Couple of typos here too. Last line, the to should be too. Sixth line from the bottom, "learnt" I believe should be "learned." I think all girls go through something like this at least once." -- Molly B.
