ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Writing poetry should come from the heart. The words should just flow out without hesitation, and without a process of thinking and re-thinking. Write exactly what you see and feel. That in my humble opinion, is true emotion. That is pure poetry.
I have been writing for several years now, and I really enjoy it. I like to write what I feel. I believe that writing poetry is inside everyone. It is a very basic instinct to express your thoughts to others. Some like to talk, while others (like myself), prefer to remain quiet, and then put their emotions down on paper.

Emotions (Poetry) This was written as a reminder that you should always think of "the other guy" when you have a problem. You need to look at issues from both sides. This is something that I am trying to really work ... [163 words]
One Chance (Poetry) This is a story about how it is up to us (mankind), to make this world work. Everyone has to do their share, to make it possible to live in a safe and healthy society. [119 words]

Sometimes I feel that I am the only one who knows what is going on. That I am the only one who can see the true beauty and the amazing power that it has.

The feeling it gives me is one of great confusion. Part of me is filled with a happiness that is so overwhelming, I can't think straight. It makes me feel alive and free. Like I can do anything and everything. it gives me the sense that I am the only one on the planet. It gives me a feeling of confidence, that I wish I could have more often than I do.

But on the other hand, it gives me a feeling that makes me so nervous and terrified, that I have absolutely no clue what I should be doing. The thing I dont understand is why everyone doesn't see it. Or should I say, I don't undertand why everyone doesn't hear it. Why can't everyone listen to the silence?

I suppose most people find it hard to imagine the incredible potential that an absolute silence can have. But why is that? Is it because of all the noise that is around us? Maybe. But still, why shouldn't everyone make an effort to understand this mystery? Why not at least give it a try?

We must communicate through speech to survive day to day, that I understand. But talking just to talk is something that has really got me lost. This is the useless noise that I feel has no place in our society.

Why do people find it necessary to talk even though they have nothing to say? What is the point? Is there a reason? These are the questions that I have; that I hope someday will be answered.

But please don't get me wrong. I would never want the important issues left UN-said. And I never ever want the laughter and music the stop. I just wish everyone could learn what I have finally learned. I wish everyone would take a moment, stand back and listen to the silence.
