Moksha B C Mercer
Where have we been and when did we begin
The lives we have lived in age-old skin?
The ones we impacted with choices we have made
Will return to us in time and try to persuade
The path we now take with this newly granted chance
To leave our mark on this planet, move forward, and advance.
Fill the souls of your peers with what you have learned
What you wish to be burned or returned, as well as what is yearned
To gain their interest of what has remained in their heart
And show them what has happened, right from the start.
"There is hope for you, my child, be sure to remain strong,"
As He tells me once more that it will not be long.
The karma we create is a mountain on our back
To hold us in this world until we gain what we lack,
But when we become clean and our soul is pure
Will it pay off to witness what we have endured?
The red light will fade as the music guarantees
Moksha; our liberation from rebirth, we are finally free.
