To My Mother Hanan Al Kindi
Mother,
No words can truly express
The feeling I have deep inside
I don’t know how I’d get along
Without you by my side
Mother,
The look inside your caring eyes
Gives me the strength to survive
When I’m feeling lost and down
Your smile lets my senses revive
Mother,
I would love to say ‘I love you’
But it would be a lie
For love is nothing compared
To this feeling I have inside
Mother,
Your laugh fills me with warmth
Your hug means everything’s alright
You fill my empty day with joy
You are such a wonderful sight
Mother,
We’ve shared so many nice,
Wonderful years together
I wish we could relive those
Beautiful moments forever
Mother,
Whenever I fall, your hand is there
Waiting to pull me up again
Whenever I get hurt and depressed
Your warm hug removes the pain
Mother,
I just want to tell you this
In my heart you’ll always be treasured
The love, respect and feelings for you
Cannot, and will never be, measured
