Looking At The Moon
D G Williford

I feel the warm evening breeze caress my cheek...

The way you would if you were here.

My intangible lover.... I gaze at the moon wondering
where you are...

Maybe you are in some faraway country listening
to beating drums or teaching a child how to read.

Maybe you are gazing at the same moon as me...
Wondering where I am...

Find me...
Pray don't take my lifetime...

For I am lonely of being alone... I hunger for love
for life for sharing thoughts for embracing life as
it is meant to be...

Two arms to hold around me... Two lips to brush against
mine...
Two hearts beating in ryhthm...

I wish I could hurry you to my side... But I know when
the time is right...

When you and I are ready... We shall be together...

Until then my darling... I will continue to watch
the moon, and know that you are watching it too...

Waiting for the time that we can be together...

"D.G.; you never told me you were a woman! If you had, I'd been more polite! Anyways, this is beautiful work, and I wish I could come up with something this touching, but I'm stuck in the horror fiction mode these days. Write on and right on!" -- david doc byron, mumfuck, egypt.
"Thanks for the kuddos Doc...Coming from you, well hell I take that as a compliment. This has always been my favorite and I hesitated putting it out there since I mainly write dark pieces but I needed to do it... Thanks for reading it... and yes I'm a woman... " -- D. G. Williford.
