Well I got my thoughts up,
Told you how I feel,
With no regret of the past or side effects,
I guess once you say what you feel,
People begin to think,
Not always the truest of thoughts,
But then again I bare nothing to hide from,
Honest, direct and full of pride,
The end of this ride is evident,
What will happen next?
I can predict the future,
But that would be no fun,
And it leaves less room to be surprised.
I sometimes wondered how long?
As I sit alone in this lonely town,
I guess there’s nothing to do except to wait for the next train,
Some people say I’m crazy,
I just say I’m a romantic fool,
Maybe I went out on a limb,
I wanted to let you know how I’d feel,
But it wasn’t written in the stars,
In the future I will look back at this and feel the exact opposite if that ok by you,
What I showed was not even half of what I’d given you,
Why you?
I guess too many coincidences,
You made me laugh and brought brightness to my soul,
And made me belief again,
Maybe under a different light,
Not out of giving in,
For you I walked out weaker than expected,
While you walked out with your ego stroked,
Why you?
Cause there’s nothing worst than a regret,
Years later I’ll think back and wonder,
“Maybe you were my only true adventure.”
