Abused Girl
Rose Raposo
A feeling of fear
feeling jailed in a home
a girl struggles to be free
an she's all alone
her mother hits her
her father abused her
long ago,
but he is not jailed,
he was free
as he pleased
But she was sitting at home taking the pressure
she just wanted to leave and be with the one she
most treasured
but he lived far away
and the only contact she had with him was a phone
or computer,
sometimes she wished she would die
or get down to her knees and just cry
but the pressure was just too much
people at school made fun of her
pointed and laughed,
said things like
"Oh it's that stupid sl*t that was raped by her father"
But she was the only one that knew the whole story,
Her mother would put her down and call her names
play games with her mind an tell her to leave then to stay
at night she stood by her bed and all she could do was pray
pray that things would turn better
but they hadn't
her mom bought her new sweaters,
telling her things like she cared for her,
making the girl know she loved her
by buying things
but only this girl knew that
money doesn't buy love
at school she was jealous of other people
who had happy families,
she never had a real dad
but she was glad it wasn't her REAL father
who was a molester
she wanted to leave forever
at school social workers would come to ask her questions about her family
she felt too much, wanted to cry or say leave me alone
but she couldnt..
