Still Life Lissa N Metz-Gomez
I feel the weight of the empty space
engulfing my unfulfilled flesh.
Too much time has passed since
I last felt the beating of my heart.
Your frequency awakens feelings
I misplaced long ago.
Black, white, and grey images
colorized in a blurry frame.
A still life until you invent my purpose
And whisper my creation to the wind
Suspended by the words
lingering between us, still.
