Breath Of Fresh Air

You’re like a breath of fresh air
That crept in like the autumn
That arrived when I wasn’t prepared
That needed no introduction
I found your touch paralyzing
I couldn’t fight it
I had no choice but to give in
Your lips sent a shock through my body
One that electrified my soul
One that sent my heart a reminder
That love was still a hope
Every moment we spend
I can’t help but to indulge
As if perhaps my last meal was of you
And would now have to starve
To see you open your eyes in the morning
Reminds me that you are more that just a dream
That what I thought was make believe
Is now a part of who I am
When you’re not around I still feel you there
Aware that you left with a part of me
I still have your taste on my tongue
Your whispers ringing in my ear
Your touch still tingling my insides
As I remember having you near
You help turn a stone heart warm
A cold touch affectionate
And a soul once again liberated
You are like a breath of fresh air
One I can’t exist without
