Just Jenn
I packed up your things today
And put them by the door
All the books and little things
I don’t need anymore
I took down the pictures
That left memories on the wall
Dusted off the tears
And left them standing in the hall
I’ll call up the lawyer
And make plans to walk away
And just ignore the telephone
I wont know what to say
I’ll remember happy times
Together we once shared
And think back to that special time
When I knew you really cared
But I don’t want to
Strip our love and leave it hanging there
And I don’t want to
Walk away and act like I don’t care
Now I have to
Keep hoping one of us will just say “Sorry”
But I can’t say it ‘cause my pride gets in the way
