ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
I am 24 year old female living in Miami, Fl. Born in Colombia, raised in Boston. I just started writing a few months ago to get some tension out, I haven't stopped since. I have always been more into art, but found this as a new form of being creative and more importantly an outlet. Thanks for all your comments. [December 2003]

Lonely Heart B Galindo
A heart gave up its desire to love and be loved Too often neglected For the last time disrespected It loved blindly and naively But that now was a painful remembrance of how it once thrived It no longer felt satisfied with the path it was destined to fulfill Free from anguish, it now sat on its own Invulnerable and thoughtless Hidden from the world Somewhere behind a wall, locked in a box Unwilling to be uncovered Reluctant to be touched How did this heart become unreachable? Perhaps its doormat had worn-out Was it its willingness to love thoroughly? Or possibly unhealed wounds still fresh from loves past Countless scars haunted this cold, gloomy hiding place Where this heart dwelled unattainable to all What once longed its survival had now withered its existence
