ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
I am 24 year old female living in Miami, Fl. Born in Colombia, raised in Boston. I just started writing a few months ago to get some tension out, I haven't stopped since. I have always been more into art, but found this as a new form of being creative and more importantly an outlet. Thanks for all your comments. [December 2003]

Pastimes B Galindo
You began as just a pastime When I was seeking to fill a void You seemed harmless in you nature Innocent in your story You slowly crept up behind me Leaving me paralyzed and struck But you would never faze me At least that is what I thought Like an addiction I fought myself for more I told myself I didn’t need you Then I would find myself at your door Needing you for comfort Needing you to move forth With the rising of the sun reality set in Reminding me that you were just a pastime One that caused me to continually give in Knowing you never felt the same I continued the with the cycle Thinking that one-day you’d come around I waited for a sign But that sign never came Now I see I was your pastime One that left addicted and ashamed
