A Fatherless Child Cynara Moore
You bequeath me the title of a bastard belittling my existence from birth.
Why did you bereft me of love and acquaintance with what should have
been the first real man in my life?
So many impose the notion that I was conceived in your image made in your mold.
I however am ostracized from that particular opinion because of your current state of anonymity.
You cower to your responsibilities with an obvious bravado about you relinquishing all paternal duties.
Am I to give you the title as my father when I procure the title bastard?
What is your penance, your retribution?
At best I impose on you a loss that can never be replaced, fulfilled or gained, that of a loving child….
A veracity that you have to squander in for the duration of your life,
A burden I no longer partake in….
