Battlefield And You Amanda Connison
Buried somewhere in this battlefield,
Is the tale of old lovers,
Piled beneath years of decay
And brittle bones of soldiers.
I close my eyes and
Try to believe in this new age
Renaissance without you and
Our memories.
This battlefield gets
Cold at night and chills my flesh,
I wish I had more of
This nostalgia to weave into a shawl.
