RIDDLES
(answers are at the bottom)
#1 I am hidden in the light, Exposed in the dark. My sisters and brothers are numerous, Like the pebbles on a beach. My energy will last longer than any other, Killing those who dare approach me. Yet life depends on my existence, Without me the fire of life would burn out. I am the center, the beginning, the end. What am I?
#2 I am a beast of burden, Serving mankind with no complaint Except for the creaking of my legs. I am a useful creature, My back is capable of bearing weight they cannot. When at rest I use three legs, While at work I use one. My death will not be marked by sadness, As I slowly rot from the outside in, My wearied body losing its usefulness with age.
#3 I am the enemy. A killer, a rapist, a tormenter. I perform my acts of cruelty with discretion, First picking out those who lack courage and ideals, And infecting them with my disease. They will become my instruments of war, The havoc they wreak destroying mankind like a rampant plague. Hatred is my father, ignorance my brother. I feed off that which separates the weaklings. The humans.
ANSWERS: #1: a star #2: a wheelbarrow #3: prejudice
