Emotion Of The Night Silents
Tiny slivers of silver light filter through the opaque curtains, reflecting off the fine blond hair of her body. The sheen of her raven hair, offset by the radiance of her skin.
The childlike expression of peace on her face, as she dreams of ivory-feathered angels. Soft, subtle curves accentuate her, stark against the dark satin of the sheets.
The graceful movements of her sleeping form, as subtle as the warm breeze of the night. The rythmic exhale of her sweet breath force me to inhale so I can breathe her in.
The ash-covered glass of votive candles surround us, reminders of an evening of carefree passion. Soft melodic notes from a forgotten blues band, words written to match the mood of the music.
These are my memories of a love past, ended for a forgotten reason. The love of the relationship gone forever, the emotion of the night, eternal.

"Thank God. That was one of the best descriptions I've read in a while. I've read a whole lot of crap on this site, and it's nice to see a good poet. Keep it up and try exploring, instead of clichéd love poems and such, philosophy, brooding emotion, et cetera. You might have a talent for it." -- Tyrant.
"My first thought is "WOW". I have been in your shoes before. Lying peacefully next to someone and admiring her while she sleeps. Your poem describes the last night I spent with the love of my life. Thank you." -- Alexander Barrett, Spanaway, Wa, USA.
"Thank you both for your comments." -- silents.
