Only Pain And Love Alex Mathew
Some may say that nothing good can come of all our love inside, You may say no good can come by standing side by side, I know it already has my love, but with a price we have to pay My love, if only we could let our heart run true, If only there was a way. Maybe you showed me that our true dream is only that today. A dream so true and vivid that we can taste our love so deep, A dream so close to home, one for only you and me.
Who am I to tell these things? Who am I to ask you so? For it’s come to pass, I think my love, You didn’t want to know. How is it that this burns so bright, so separate from the world, Yet slaps us in the face tonight, and wakes us from our sleep. I cried for you my love tonight, my tears ran fast and clear For never would I ever want to make you cry or weep.
I wish I had the words inside to tell you what I want, But what I want matters not my love, For you heart stands first in line I want to take care of you, a selfish offer it seems, For who the hell am I to show the heaven of your dreams, Who the hell am I to hold the love so close and yet never ever touch, What right do have I to show you who I am and tell you that my heart is yours? And leave you all alone. My heart is ripped in two today, And as I watch the sun come up and through my tear swelled eyes I feel the agony of our pain To cause one tear to shed from you is the worst a man could do And I, the one who loves you most, I broke my golden rule To have my love cause you pain Sends a man into despair, how something so pure and good can rip A hole so deep into my soul, I know as sure as every time I see this morning sun, This ache will never leave. But once before the day I die I will hold you in my arms And wait ‘til you eyes do close, a smile laid on your face And kiss you softly on the cheek A tragedy of life and love, a different time and place
I love you, love. We’ll work it out I know.
