Relive Ships once sailed an ocean became a friend that I shared with those that needed mending Waves washed away the darkness that always seemed to comfort fear And with time the fear faded into an even greater friendship as we found our place under cold stars With crisp waves at our backs we faced adventures across the globe Kneeling before Singapore skyscrapers we where statues of the heroes we dreamed to be The man within pierced through me as we championed our lives for the moment I felt as if I could become immortal I felt as if I could become... Sidewalks and alleys in foreign lands no fear, only the friendship but we knew that we could not be immortal and this could not last forever The sun once rose and then set in the same moment Our friendship seemed so far away so long ago I found myself standing on the cliffs we had shared thoughts upon The words of those nights seemed to fall again Life was again a fragile creature stranded in the wind And here I was retracing my steps into the darkness that the ocean and you had made me forget Each step asked the darkness for forgiveness as I found my way back to my car It all seemed so new to me now
