The beaten weathered bums walk with heads down in shame dirty and desperate, Lookin for cigarette butts Sleepin by the rusted railroad tracks singing sad songs with sad lost eyes and a bottle to sip together under the stars that dance on a tragic, black forever sky A young girl wakes up to the sun peeking through her mini-blinds She watches the dust and thinks about dying But moon doesn’t know what it does to the water and the wind doesn't try A man in a three piece suit with empty eyes covers his face and cries The sun goes down and the tangled branches shiver A skinny, lonely cat looks for scraps in an alley of broken glass and needles A curious boy with wide eyes stares into a vast, green field And sees A dead horse laying still with a thousand flies invading it’s corpse But the moon doesn’t know what it does To the water
