Eternal Diary Harvey Kennett
Time is a fatal concept,
A measure of our emotions across the landscape of mortality,
A tally of the experience we accumulate before the curtain draws down.
What then of time when we are no more ?
Does time hold still, for the living or the dead ?
For the living, time marches on, towards its inevitable conclusion.
For the dead, time is reborn in the remembrances of those who knew us.
For the dead, time is immortal, recalcitrant and immutable.
The deeds done yesterday will be the same tomorrow, and the day after.
So ponder this.
Time will be the eternal chronicle of your deeds, long after you have gone.
You have but one chance to record them now, as you wish them to be known,
For tomorrow, they are set in stone.
