Little dog walking,
Dodging fast cars as he crosses highways,
Little dog running,
Scared and alone, this is how he will stay,
Little dog hungry,
Hasn't had food in his belly for days,
Little dog shaking,
Racked with pneumonia from the cold winter rain,
Little dog crying,
Nobody hears as his voice slips away,
Little dog dying,
Curled in a heap in a lone alleyway,
Little dog silent,
Angels from God take his suffering away,
Little dog waking,
Beautiful home in a land free from pain,
Little dog laughing,
For up in Heaven with the master he plays.
Little dog singing,
Comfort and peace for the rest of his days,
Little dog sleeping,
Happy at last for no more he will stray...
