No-Body Can Change Your Life But You !!!

No one can change your life but you!
Its great advice I used to give,
But bloody hell society,
Give me a chance to really live.
Each weekday I rise and the effort!!!
To actually put my feet on the floor,
To wash, put "on my face",
And head out the safe and comfy door.
Its humungus,the task, I'm sure you agree,
Fight through the traffic and folk,
stuck behind a driver going no-where fast,
I sometimes think God is laughing, having a joke.
Go through the jaws of the beast you obey,
you hate and love at the same excrutiating time,
You need it.... and it needs you?
Its powerful hold on you, its sublime.
At last the time has come and escape all the stress,
Breathe deep as you head for your car,
Considering all the things you still have to do,
Considering whether to head straight for a bar !!!
But you put things off and before you know,
There's no food in the fridge,and ironing is tall,
Its the weekend suddenly, you're free from the grind,
But come night, you're exhausted and into bed you fall.
Why do I worry if the carpets' got fluff,
No body visits to examine my windows or bath !!!
Our society says you must keep things all neat,
Its been built in since birth, Gods having a laugh.
Sunday arrives and a long lie is had,
Catch up with the papers and pals,
Come evening you're thinking of the day thats ahead,
And the lead in your heart sinks and falls.
I could give up my job, my car and my home,
Go travelling see wonders galore,
But when i come back and the money's all done,
I'm back at square one once more.
So no-one can change my life but me,
Do I really want to ? ...No,that's true,
I count my blessings really you see.
I'm just having a moan, just like you do !!.
