Cycle Of Street Life Abbie Angel
She is a throwaway child drifting on a sea of dreams
Running from sexual abuse or her mom’s battered face.
She has no roots, friends or social ties to hold her
She is a loner, a pariah and outcast from society.
She is tender prey for the pimps at the Port Authority
Waiting for the innocent child lost in the city vastness.
They offer her shelter, warmth and a deathbed to sleep on
She is raped, beaten and degraded into slavery.
She is the streetwalker pumped up on heroin
She is somebody’s forgotten star-child that fell from the sky.
She is the morgue’s Jane Doe, the bride of the crypt now
She died because she was a throwaway child that nobody wanted.

"a run aways story is never attractive and people always have stereotyped images of distortion. You are either very tragic, or putting us on. In any case, leave the misery behind you, this type of content is not usually a desirable read and most people can not relate or understand. It is my opinion that your writing would be better suited either in another form of fiction or in another parts of this vast world of ours.Let your imagination take you to places that will interest and excite your readers. I was a member of a homeless shelter for over a year, but my writing is a wide spectrum of life and love experiences as a celebration of my liberation...be liberated." -- Brian O Neil.
"Thank you, Brian. You are right--there is nothing good at all in being a runaway but if you really were in a homeless shelter then you know what drives someone to run away. I write because it is all I have left now." -- Abbie Angel.
"I urge you to leave the refse behind you and celebrate life by starting a new one. Yes, I know what rejection is and I know that you must pick yourself up and be greatful for being free..."let go and let God." -- Brian O Neil.
"I agree with the comment about your writing. I think you should either keep a journal or spend your time looking for a way out. Right now, you are living in Hell-you're the only one who's going to get you out with God's guidance. Find the strength from someone if you can't find it in God. Yourself, maybe? Don't perpetuate this dark, tragic life you're living. You've been hurt in the past, scarred but it's time to come to grips with it and change your life. By not doing something to save yourself you are just as bad as Steve." -- Cindy, san fernando, ca.
