Just A Guy
you want to stay
though you know it’s wrong
another glass of wine
play a sad song
some things can’t be
wishes won’t work
leavings so hard
when your heart isn’t in it
maybe it will get better
memories will fade
find a place out of the heat
a cool, relaxing shade
but there’s nowhere to hide
no safe haven
the feelings, too intense
memories haunt
could tomorrow be easier
probably not
there’s no quick cure
maybe none for sure
your heart can lead you
but it’s not always right
rough getting through the day
even harder at night
will he find someone new
is she prettier than you
did you do the right thing
does he really love me
was i mearly a fling
will i never find love
thoughts fill your head
impossible to sleep
so you don’t
