Recipe Of Time
Brion' O Neil

Checking on this crowded earth, I am looking down
on what I intended to be the jewel upon my crown

but taking a closer look, much to my suprise
seeing images I had before the oceans rise

and the formula that I had became distorted from the norm
the ingredients have taken another form

should I throw away the batch and start over again
or should I turn up the heat and add a lot of rain

no, instead I looked some more, finding some people
who were clinging to the sod

raising their hands to the heavens, with praise,
making me pleased that I am a forgiving God
