Me, You And A Rainy Day

The sound of rain drifts through the open window
we can feel its dampness as we lay in the shadows of the early morn
hands intertwined while we smile sleepily at each other
covers loose over our naked bodies
thoughts drifting back to the night before
when all inhibitions were left behind
the rain is more steady now
matching the sound of your breathing
as you snuggle close
you can feel my heart beating against your warm skin
the smell of you so sweet and powerful fills my nostrils
and I pull you closer never wanting to let go
the rain is pouring now
as I play with your hair and stroke your neck with my hands
you lean over and kiss me softly
whispering my name
kisses growing more passionate
as we kick the covers away
lightning flashes through the window
and I can see it in your eyes
as we start over again
on a rainy day
