Hear the voices that I hear
Menacing and sometimes violent
always at a distance though
laughter comes seldom
sadness comes often
virtue is a thing of the past
and I am all alone
the sunlight is not welcome
darkness surrounds
wicked thoughts always entertain
solitude cannot be found
lend a helping hand if you can
maybe you could understand
if only for a minute
you could walk in my shoes
